UV Protection
Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light is the major cause of degradation in polymeric coatings and substrates which are exposed to sunlight. Protection from UV damage is therefore critical for coatings to effectively serve their purpose in preventing weathering damage to the surfaces of buildings, vehicles and other assets.
Energenics offer a range of UV protection additives for coatings systems. CerPlus® A Series performance ingredients are available in a variety of water- and solvent-based dispersions giving compatibility with a wide range of coatings systems. Unlike organic UV absorbers they are not consumed sacrificially and unlike other inorganic UV absorbers they are not photoactive.
